Our home

Hassan Law is proud to announce that the London Law firm has opened its doors and welcomes clients to its offices located in the A. Chisholm Building at 142 Dundas Street—3rd floor

A Long History

The building has been home to a number of other merchants as well, from carpet sales to a dress shop. In the 1980s it was home to the much-loved “Grandma Lee’s” restaurant, which closed in about 1990. The building stood empty from then until 2009 when it was purchased on behalf of Hassan Law, to be the site of their law offices. (Coincidently, Andrew Chisholm was also a barrister, in addition to a merchant.)  Interesting artifacts and memorabilia from the various businesses carried on in the building, will be displayed in the lobby area, along with some interesting facts and pictures of the building and its restoration (including love letters from the 1940s, hidden under floor boards on the second floor).

The “Paul Oberman Award for Adaptive Reuse” was presented to Hassan Law for their dedication, creativity and hard work that was put into preserving the heritage of the A. Chisholm building, while adapting it for the needs of their law practice.
